Batch Update Aeros: Also Update Master

What happens if I check the Also Update Master checkbox on the Batch Update Aeros: Make Changes screen?

If you are making changes to Aeros are are occurrences of a Master Aero, you have the option of asking Aero to also update the Master Aero and all of the unchanged occurrences as well. To better understand how this works, let’s look at two different scenarios:

  1. Bob is going on vacation for 3 weeks and you want to re-assign his Aeros to Joan while he’s gone. In this case you would not want to check the Also Update Master box, since you want the Master Aero and the majority of the Not Started occurrences to still be assigned to Bob. The occurrences for the three weeks he’s gone will be reassigned to Joan, but the Master Aero will still be assigned to Bob, and all of the occurrences except for the three week period will still be assigned to him.

  2. Bob has left the firm and you need to reassign all his work to Joan. In this case, you would want to check the Also Update Master box so that the Master Aero and all unchanged occurrences would be updated. After checking the box, the Master Aero is now assigned to Joan:

And all the unchanged individual occurrences are also now assigned to Joan:
