Google Connection Troubleshooting

If the email sync isn’t working

  1. Check to make sure you don’t have more than 500 unread emails in your Gmail inbox. If you have more than 500 unread emails in your Gmail inbox, you will need to clear it out before the Aero sync will work:
    • Enter the following in the search bar at the top of Gmail page “is:unread
    • Click “select all” (checkbox above the list of messages in upper left)
    • Click the hyperlink Select all conversations that match this search

    • Click the More menu and select “Mark As Read

  2. Check that your Aero account is connected to the correct Gmail account.
    • Log into the right Gmail account
    • Navigate to Gear icon > Settings > Accounts > Change account settings > click Google Account Settings or click here: https://myaccount.google.com/
    • Under Apps connected to your account, you should see Aero Workflow

  3. Check to make sure you have told Aero to check your email:
    • Navigate to Work > My Preferences > Email Settings
    • If you want Aero to automatically check for email, check the Auto Update Email box
    • Make sure that EITHER Send & Receive Email OR Send Email Only is checked

  4. Check to make sure that you have unread email in your inbox from email addresses that are listed in your Aero Account.
  5. Try disconnecting from Google and reconnecting. If you try this, it’s important that you follow the steps exactly as listed.
  6. If you still aren’t receiving email in your Aero account, contact support.

If the calendar sync isn’t working

  1. Make sure that the Sync Calendar box is checked.

  2. Make sure that you have at least one appointment in Aero. (Only appointments are synced, not tasks)
  3. Make sure the My Aeros Calendar is turned ‘On’
    GCal On
    Gcal Off
  4. Make sure that events you create in Google Calendar are added to the My Aeros calendar
  5. If you’ve checked all of the above, and the calendar sync still isn’t working:
    1. click the Reset Google Calendar button. This will delete the My Aeros calendar and cancel the calendar sync.
    2. Click the Save Changes button (you have to scroll up to the top of the screen to see it)
    3. You will need to check the Sync Calendar box again to start the calendar sync again.
    4. After you re-check the Sync Calendar box, click the Save Changes button again.
